Who is Running Barnes and Noble?

While it is fun to think that James Daunt is hand picking every book and fixture to save our favorite bookstore, nothing could be further from the truth. James is stuck in London, but even if there was no pandemic, he might not be in America anyhow.

James has entrusted Barnes and Noble stores to…. drum roll…the same people who ran them into the ground and almost went bankrupt. Sure, James laid off a lot of the B&N Home Office, but the ones he kept are not any better at bookselling. Maybe they were cheap?
